A UK student has finished class, the Premier League kick-off is creeping closer, and the familiar message lands in a WeChat group: “Anyone got a kanqiu app link?” Sounds simple enough. Kanqiu (看球) literally means “watch football” or, more broadly, “watch the match”. Yet “kanqiu app” is not always one clearly identified product.
